Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
By using the SG Shaikh Consultant website ("site") or engaging us for professional services, you agree to the terms set out below. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or engage us.
1. About us
SG Shaikh Consultant is an accounting and compliance practice operating from Pune, Maharashtra, India.
2. Use of the website
You may use the site to learn about our services, request a quote, or sign in to the client portal where you have an account. You agree not to attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at scale, or use it to send unsolicited content.
3. Engagement letter governs
Where you engage us for services, the specific scope, deliverables, fees and timelines will be set out in a written engagement letter. The engagement letter takes precedence over anything stated on this website.
4. Fees and payment
Fees for retainer plans are billed monthly in advance. Project fees are billed as set out in the engagement letter. Statutory portal charges and government fees are pass-through and shown on the invoice. All fees are exclusive of GST. We may pause work where invoices remain unpaid beyond 30 days.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide complete and accurate information and documents in time for us to meet statutory deadlines.
- Approve filings before submission where the engagement requires your sign-off.
- Keep your portal credentials secure and notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorised access.
- Comply with all applicable laws — we are advisors and preparers, not legal guarantors.
6. Limitation of liability
Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including loss of profits, goodwill or business opportunity), or for losses caused by inaccurate or untimely information supplied by you.
7. Intellectual property
All site content, the client portal and any tools, templates or workpapers we develop remain our intellectual property. Final deliverables (financial statements, returns, reports) become yours on full payment of fees.
8. Confidentiality
We treat all client information as confidential and apply the protections described in our Privacy Policy. We may refer to you as a client in generic listings only with your prior written consent.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate a retainer engagement with 30 days' written notice. Project engagements end on delivery of the agreed deliverables. We will return your records on termination after settlement of outstanding fees.
10. Governing law & jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, Maharashtra.
11. Changes
We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
